CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING A VARIANCE FROM <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 78-305 <br />FILE NO. LA18-000043 <br />WHEREAS, on April 18, 2018, Thomas and Kathryn Bergstrom ("Applicants"), <br />applied for a variance from the City Code for the property addressed 1509 Long Lake Boulevard and <br />legally described as: <br />Lot 22, and the East half of Lot 21, ALBEE' S LONG LAKE ADDITION (hereinafter <br />the "Property"); <br />WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br />variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-305 to allow rear yard setback variance for <br />a17.9 foot setback ; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br />variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-305 to allow a side yard setback variance <br />for a 10.3 setback; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br />variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-305 to allow lot area variance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br />variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-305 to allow lot width variance; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 21, 2018, after published and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the City Council held a public hearing, at which time all <br />persons desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak <br />thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 21, 2018, the Planning Commission recommended approval <br />of the variance; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 11, 2018, the City Council reviewed the application and the <br />recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff; and <br />
