14� <br />1 <br />CITY of ORONO <br />ti <br />u RESOLUTION OFTH�CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 9 <br />90 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, an updated certificate of survey dated <br />2007 or later shall be required for approval of a City of Orono annual joint use dock license. Such <br />survey shall depict the location and configuration of the dock facilities and shall include the. entire <br />parcel of land from which the dock facilities extend. The survey shall depict all structure and <br />hardcover on the land. Upon receipt of the acceptable survey, a site inspection will be performed <br />annually, in the fall, and site photos will be taken for the file. This survey will be acceptable for <br />future licensure of the joint use dock. However, if upon inspection, the conditions on the site have <br />changed an updated survey will be required for the upcoming license year, subj ect to the following: <br />1. Changes constituting the need for an updated survey include, but are not limited to: new <br />structures; change in location of structures or storage area; additional, new docks or change in docks, <br />slips, buoys, launching ramps, parking areas, access areas, steps, or pathways; new hardcover; an <br />increase or change in existing hardcover; fencing and/or landscaping activities which require a <br />permit. <br />2. Changes that are acceptable and would not require an updated survey are: planting trees; <br />plants; shrubs; picnic tables on grass and fire rings (with no increase in hardcover). <br />3. If changes are noted during the fall inspection, the j oint use dock licensee will be notified that <br />anupdated survey will be required before the next boating season or a joint use dock license will not <br />be issued. In February each year the joint use dock license applications will be mailed for the current <br />boating season with a deadline of March 15. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 22nd day of November, 2010. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
