Leskinen stated the City has the variance <br />process if there is a need to encroach into the 10 -foot setback, and that if it is just a handful of people, she <br />would be reluctant to change what is in place currently. <br />Schoenzeit stated it might be compelling on a small lot but that can be looked at through the variance <br />process. <br />Thiesse noted it was determined it was a problem previously, which is why it was established. <br />Chair Thiesse opened the public hearing at 8:18 p.m. <br />There were no public comments regarding this application. <br />Chair Thiesse closed the public hearing at 8:18 p.m. <br />Lemke stated it should be looked at on a case-by-case basis. <br />Lemke moved, Schoenzeit seconded, to recommend denial of Application No. LA18-000023, City of <br />Orono, Amend Article XI of the City Code Related to Wetlands and Wetland Setbacks.
