AGENDA ITEM <br />Item No. 8 <br />Item Description: Pickup Truck Replacements <br />Date: January 22, 2018 <br />Presenter: DJ Goman Agenda Consent Agenda <br />Public Works Supervisor Section: <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with replacement of <br />trucks 210 and 610. <br />2. Background. The two pickup trucks are well beyond their useful lives. Truck 210 has been <br />in service for 20 years and is in very poor condition. Truck 610 has been in service for 23 years <br />and is in extremely poor condition. 210 is used for parks maintenance and 610 has been used <br />golf course maintenance. With the new Public Works structure in place, both new trucks will <br />support all parks maintenance activities, to include the golf course. <br />3. Project Scope. Replace both pickup trucks. <br />4. Cost. The City received two quotes, listed below. Based on the condition of the existing <br />trucks trade in values are expected to be minimal. <br />Company Company / Model Cost <br />Midway Ford (State Contract) 2018 F350 $ 28,991.84 <br />Ford online 2018 F350 $ 39,575.00 <br />5. Funding. This project will be funded through the Equipment Fund. The Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP) budgeted $30,000 each for the replacements. <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
