To enter into a one year contract with Granicus for the streaming of and web <br />access on City meetings. <br />2. Background. In 2013 the City entered into a contract with Granicus to provide for web <br />streaming of City Council meetings. In addition to streaming services, Granicus also provides <br />online access to past meetings and allows indexing of the video. Since 2013 the city has begun <br />to stream Planning and Park Commission meetings. These meetings are also stored online are <br />available for public viewing. <br />Staff is currently looking for alternatives to Granicus for our streaming needs. However, in order <br />to insure that streaming and video retrieval can continue without interruptions, the contract with <br />Granicus needs to be extended for one year. <br />3. Cost. The annual cost for Granicus is $6,588.00. This is the same as the City has <br />previously been paying. <br />4. Funding. Funding for the video streaming and archiving of meetings is budgeted from the <br />City's Cable Fund and is included in the 2018 budget. <br />5. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommend approval of a one year contract with Granicus. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve a one-year contract with Granicus for web streaming and archiving city <br />meetings. <br />Exhibits <br />Exhibit A.
