Purpose. This application is regarding an amendment to a variance approved in February 2018 to <br />permit modification to a portion of the roof of the home within the average lake setback. <br />2. Background. An average lakeshore setback variance was granted in February for <br />additions/modifications to the home. While finalizing the plans for construction, the applicant <br />discovered they would like to make minor modifications to the roof over a portion of the home <br />resulting in less encroachment in some areas and a slightly greater encroachment in others <br />(slightly wider addition, approved pitched roof to flat roof, etc). For a more clear/colorized <br />visualization of the changes, please refer to Exhibit B. This revision has not been reviewed by <br />the Planning Commission; staff believes it to be a minor alteration of an approved plan and a <br />lesser encroachment than approved. <br />Public Comment. No additional comments from the public were received regarding this <br />application. <br />4. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends approval.
