AGENDA ITEM <br />Item No.: 5 <br />Item Description: Approval to Accept donation <br />Date: August 27, 2018 <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok Agenda Section: Consent Agenda <br />Police Chief <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to accept a donations. <br />2. Background. The Police Department has received a $10.00 donation from Laura Lundberg and her <br />German Shepherds named Journey and Blaze. The donation is a welcome to the department for Xerxes. <br />Donations will go toward the purchasing of items needed for Xerxes. <br />Another donation has been received from the Pelican Point Residents (Mound) in the amount of $1580.00 <br />in gift cards to be used at Streicher's for equipment for our Reserve Officers. In addition, they also <br />donated a rain jacket, traffic vest, baton, hat, flag decal and mourning badge. <br />3. Project Scope. Apply the donations toward supplies needed for Xerxes and Reserve Officers. <br />4. Staff Recommendation.
