Memorial Day, last Monday in May <br />Independence Day, July 4 <br />Labor Day, first Monday in September <br />Veterans Day, November 11 <br />Thanksgiving Day, fourth Thursday in November <br />The Day -After Thanksgiving, fourth Friday in November <br />Christmas Eve Day, December 24 <br />Christmas Day, December 25 <br />One Designated Floating Holiday, to be set by the City Administrator <br />Holidays falling on Sunday will be observed on Monday, and holidays falling on <br />Saturday will be observed on Friday. <br />Nonexempt employees who are required to be on duty on any holiday, or who agree to be <br />on duty on any holiday, will be compensated at one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular rate <br />of pay for all hours worked. This pay shall be in addition to their holiday pay. <br />Employees taking sick or vacation leave shall receive holiday pay in lieu of other pay. <br />Holiday pay shall not be earned by any employee during a leave of absence without pay, <br />suspension or time otherwise not worked or paid or otherwise not compensated. <br />Vacation Leave <br />All regular full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation leave. Vacation hours are <br />earned based on calendar months of service and accrue as indicated below: <br />0 through 5 years of continuous service; 10 days (80 hours) <br />6 through 10 years of continuous service; 15 days (120 hours) <br />11 through 15 years of continuous service; 18 days (144 hours) <br />16 years of continuous service; 19 days (152 hours) <br />17 years of continuous service; <br />20 days <br />(160 <br />hours) <br />18 years of continuous service; <br />21 days <br />(168 <br />hours) <br />19 years of continuous service; <br />22 days <br />(176 <br />hours) <br />20 years and over of continuous service; <br />23 days <br />(184 <br />hours) <br />Employees will not be allowed to accrue more than 240 hours of vacation leave. Once an <br />employee accrues 240 hours they will not accrue additional time unless the number of hours <br />drops below 240. <br />New employees are not eligible to use vacation leave during the first six months of hire. <br />After completing six months of employment, employees will be entitled to use the vacation leave <br />32 <br />142286x12 <br />
