<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NO. ________________________ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION PROHIBITING BOAT TRAILER <br /> PARKING ON STUBBS BAY ROAD SOUTH AND WITHIN THE BEDERWOOD <br />PARK PARKING LOT <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Stubbs Bay Road South is a city road and the Bederwood Park Parking lot is <br />shared between the DNR and the city of Orono; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bayside Road (CSAH 84) is a County road within the boundaries of Orono; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is not adequate space to safely park vehicles with boat trailers along in <br />the area of the Stubbs Bay Road South from the Park Entrance to Bayside Road Intersection; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono and DNR wish to ensure adequate parking for park, trail <br />and fishing dock users; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council, that those <br />portions of Stubbs Bay Road South from the Bederwood Parking lot to the intersection of Bayside <br />Road shall be designated “No Boat Trailer Parking”; and <br /> <br />FURTHER LET IT BE RESOLVED that the entirety of the Bederwood Park Parking <br />lot be designated “No Boat Trailer Parking”. <br /> <br />FURTHER LET IT BE RESOLVED that the City of Orono Requests Hennepin County <br />install signage restricting the parking of boat trailers along Bayside Road (CSAH 84) from <br />approximately 670 feet west of to approximately 315 feet east of the intersection with Stubbs Bay Road <br />South. <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 22nd day of October 2018, by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />Anna Carlson, City Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />
