MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, October 22, 2018 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br />Dennis Walsh, City Council Members Richard Crosby, III, Aaron Printup, and Victoria Seals. <br />Representing Staff were City Administrator Dustin Rief, Finance Director Ron Olson, Public Works <br />Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br /> <br />Mayor Walsh called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF OCTOBER 8, 2018 <br /> <br />2. CLAIMS/BILLS <br /> <br />3. THIRD QUARTER FINANCIAL REPORT <br /> <br />4. WILLOW DRIVE TRAIL REHABILITATION PAY REQUEST NO. 1 – FINAL <br /> <br />5. 2018 SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT AWARD <br /> <br />6. LA18-000076 – REVISION, LLC, ON BEHALF OF CHRISTIAN HARKER, <br /> 1724 BOHNS POINT ROAD – APPROVAL AND DENIAL RESOLUTION NO. 6910 <br /> <br />Crosby moved, Seals seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as submitted. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />7. CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT CHARGES <br /> <br />Olson stated each year the City certifies to Hennepin County all unpaid general accounts receivable, <br />annual service charges for the septic program, the recycling program, and all delinquent sewer and water <br />accounts of $50.00 or more. In addition to the outstanding amounts delinquent, an administrative fee of <br />$25.00 is added to all accounts along with 8 percent interest. At this time, the total to be assessed is <br />$147,088.84. Olson stated as of today, that number is down to approximately $134,000, and it is <br />anticipated that by the time the information is sent to Hennepin County, it will be down to around <br />$105,000. <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Walsh opened the public hearing at 7:03 p.m.
