The applicant is requesting east and west side yard setback variances. <br /> <br />2. 15.99 Deadline The applicant made a complete application on October 2, 2018. Following the 60- <br />day review deadline, this application will expire November 30, 2018. <br /> <br />3. Background/ Summary. The improvements on the property include an addition to a single family <br />home and a detached garage. The applicants are requesting side yard setback variances to allow for a <br />home addition to the existing structure. The home addition is proposed to sit 37 feet from the west side of <br />the property, where the current detached garage is 38 feet from the property line. The applicant is also <br />proposing a covered deck off on the rear of the home and would encroach in the east side yard. The <br />current home sits 32 feet from the east side property line. The covered deck addition is proposed to sit 42 <br />feet from the east side property line. Side yard setbacks are 50 feet. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. The Planning Commission reviewed the application and <br />found the proposed application to be reasonable. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended <br />approval of the proposed variances, 7-0. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. No public input was received for this application. <br /> <br />6.
