To consider the response to the Metropolitan Council’s letter of incomplete. <br /> <br />2. Background. On December 10, the City Council passed a resolution directing staff to submit the <br />2040 Comprehensive Plan to the Met Council. Staff did so on December 27th, and on January <br />18th, received a letter (Exhibit A) noting several items that needed to be addressed in order for the <br />Met Council to consider the submittal complete and continue its review. <br /> <br />Staff has made appropriate modifications to the Comprehensive Plan, summarized in the point by <br />point response letter, attached as Exhibit B. Chapters seeing changes are provided as exhibits C- <br />F. The balance of the comprehensive plan and its’ maps are found on the city website. <br /> <br />3B Land Use <br /> <br />Land Use Area calculations and <br />employment assumptions <br />3C Housing Housing tools and sequence of use <br />4A Transportation Bus Route # changed <br />4B Sewer Sewer and MUSA expansion, I/I <br />tables and response <br /> <br />The Met Council identifies certain plan components that must be included, based on the type of <br />community. Exhibit G lists those components and where the corresponding information may be <br />found. This was provided to the Met Council at the time of our submittal <br /> <br />3. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends the Council authorize staff to forward the response <br />as drafted to the Met Council. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />City Council should review the approval resolution and adopt or amend. <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
