This application is regarding approvals for a new home on the property. <br /> <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The application was received and was considered to be <br />complete on December 12, 2018. The original 60-day review period was extended due to the <br />holiday meeting schedule, therefore the 60-Day review period will expire on April 11, 2019. <br /> <br />3. Background/ Summary. The applicants are requesting lot area; lot width; average lakeshore <br />setback; and hardcover variances in order to redevelop the property with a new single family <br />home. An Interim Use Permit (IUP) is also requested due to the total amount of grading activity <br />within 75 feet of the lake. <br /> <br />The hardcover variance requested is a 176 square foot total reduction from existing, but also <br />reflects removal of nearly all of the nonconforming hardcover within the 75-foot setback. Please <br />refer to pages 2 & 3 in the attached planning commission memo for greater detail on the <br />requested variances. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. On January 22, 2019, the Planning Commission <br />held a public hearing. Following the public hearing the Planning Commission voted 5 to 0 in <br />favor of a motion to approve the requested variances and IUP. <br /> <br />5. Public Comment. Comments from the neighbors were received and are attached as Exhibit D. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
