MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO TRUTH-IN-TAXATION/CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, December 10, 2018 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 19 of 19 <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br /> <br />Rief reported he met last week with some of the lake area managers related to utilities in the southern area <br />to start the discussion about whether there would be some opportunities for savings. <br /> <br />Rief stated he also met with lake area managers today to discuss some LMCD issues and the various city <br />budgets. Rief thanked Finance Director Ron Olson for his six months of dedication to the budget. <br />Rief thanked Community Development Director Jeremy Barnhart for all of his work on the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Rief noted City Hall will be closed on Monday, December 17, to the public so Staff can perform an <br />internal cleaning of the facility. <br /> <br />Rief stated he would also like to say thank you to Council Member Dankey for her service on the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br /> <br />Dankey moved, Crosby seconded, to enter into closed session as permitted by the attorney-client <br />privilege to discuss the following three lawsuits: Peter Lampher and Penny Rogers vs the City of <br />Orono and Jay Nygard, et al; Fred Johnson vs the City of Orono; and Matthew and Susanne <br />Johnson vs Archelle Georgiou Feldson, et al.
