MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Tuesday, February 19, 2019 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Thiesse stated it appears to be more than three stories on the street side. <br /> <br />Curtis stated if Commissioner Thiesse is referring to the top area as more than three stories, that is an <br />access point to the deck and the height is measured from the midpoint. Orono no longer regulates the <br />number of stories, which resolves that concern, but it is calculated into the height. <br /> <br />Landgraver commented it is a difficult lot to work with, which is a practical difficulty, but that he would <br />like to see the hardcover reduced somewhat if possible. Landgraver noted they are under the structural <br />coverage limit. <br /> <br />Libby asked whether the City Engineer has reviewed the drainage on the site. <br /> <br />Curtis indicated he has not at this time. <br /> <br />Libby stated his only concern would be the drainage. <br /> <br />Curtis noted grading and drainage would be reviewed at the time of building permit. <br /> <br />Landgraver moved, Olson seconded, to recommend approval of Application No. LA19-000004, City <br />Homes, 3369 Crystal Bay Road, granting of variances subject to the recommendations of Staff. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />
