<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NO. ________________________ <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION FOR A HENNEPIN COUNTY <br />HEALTHY TREE PROGRAM GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners, has established a Healthy Tree <br />Canopy Grant Program to provide awards, which may be in the form of reimbursements (“Tree <br />Grant Funds”) to selected eligible community tree projects; and <br />WHEREAS, City of Orono desires to ensure a healthy trees on city lands and recognizes that a <br />key step in achieving a healthy tree canopy is the inventory of the tree on city lands. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council: <br />1. The Orono City Council is requesting $ 5,000 from the Hennepin Healthy Tree Canopy <br />Grant Program and will assume responsibility for providing matching funds of 25%. <br />2. City of Orono agrees to enter into necessary and required agreements with Hennepin County <br />for the specific purpose of executing the project. <br />3.
