I called you to <br /> discuss the required guardrail height for residential use in the City of Orono. You stated that we <br /> could use a 36" guardrail height in lieu of the required 42" height based on the following <br /> guidelines from the 1994 UBC: <br /> 509.2 Height. The top of guardrails shall not be less than 42" (1067 mm) in height. <br /> EXCEPTIONS: 1.
