My thoughts on what each phase would entail and a <br /> general timeline are as follows. <br /> Phase I: Re-vegetation of slope to be completed summer 2004 <br /> This phase includes the area on the south edge of your property extending from the base <br /> of the slope near the shore on the west up slope to the east approximately 125 feet, <br /> bordered on the south by the property line and on the north by the existing stairs totaling <br /> approximately 3,500 square feet. This is the area that the outline dated 5/6/2004 was to <br /> include. Another copy of this outline is included with this letter. <br /> Phase II: European buckthorn removal to be completed late fall to early winter 2004- <br /> 2005. <br /> This phase includes the northwest portion of your property extending from the shoreline <br /> north along the west property line and angling northeast along property line <br /> approximately 50 feet. From this point south southeast to the stairs and than following the <br /> stairs and walking path back to the shoreline totaling approximately 4,000 to 5,000 <br /> square feet. A meeting will need to be arranged with Mike Hiltner of our Land <br /> Management Division to allow him to give an estimate for the removal and burning of <br /> the remaining buckthorn and burning of the previously cut material that is currently in a <br /> pile within this area. <br /> Phase III: Re-vegetation of area described in phase II to be completed Spring or Summer <br /> 2005. <br /> Once the buckthorn has been removed and the stumps chemically treated the area can be <br /> restored using similar material and procedures as described in the outline for restoring the <br /> phase I area. An outline with costs will be written after the buckthorn is removed and we <br /> can get a better idea of the extent of the work required to restore this area.
