`°04. CITY OF ORONO
MEMORANDUM
ti .
G
`,k-Es
DATE: January 7, 2019
TO: Rick Hendel, Hendel Homes
FROM: Laura Oakden, Planner
Jeremy Barnhart, Community Development Director
RE: 3060 North Shore Dr, Permit 2017-01424, As-built Survey
An As-built survey dated November 15, 2018 was submitted to the City of Orono for the new
home at 3060 North Shore Dr. This home received variances for expanding in the average
lakeshore setback, 75' foot lakeyard, and for west side yard setback.
On the as-built survey the measurement is called out between the now enclosed screen porch as
27.8 feet from the east side yard lot line. The previous surveys submitted for the variance, new
home permit and foundation as-built has this distance mislabeled as 31.5 feet. After measuring
all the submitted plans the final as-built shows the accurate measurement.
The 27.8 feet from the screen porch to the east property line is consistent with the submitted and
approved variance surveys.
The November 15, 2018 Final As-built still has the following items that need to be addressed:
- Submitted engineered plans for the installed retaining walls over 4 feet; these were not
approved with the new home permit.
- Identify the swales on either side of the home.
- A new retaining wall forward of the 75-foot lakeyard setback. This was not approved
with the new home permit and is not permitted by City Code.
