This could potentially result in emergency vehicles <br /> responding to an incorrect location, and as we all know, in an emergency <br /> seconds count. <br /> The critical area of concern is the private driveway access between <br /> 4735 and 4755 Tonkaview Lane. This private driveway, while being within a <br /> public right-of-way, is privately maintained and serves 4 residences as the <br /> only means of vehicular access. There is a potential for at least 1 <br /> additional residence to be constructed that would use that driveway, and a <br /> 6th existing residence has access both to this private driveway and to <br /> North Shore Drive. <br /> Regarding properties whose only vehicular access is via this driveway, <br /> for safety purposes the addresses should be between 4735 and 4755 Tonkaview <br /> Lane. This means that residences at 4750 and 4798 North Shore Drive would <br /> be changed to 4745 Tonkaview Lane and 4753 Tonkaview Lane respectively, if <br /> the change is adopted. The residence at 4784 North Shore Drive could keep <br /> that address, because it has a direct driveway access to North Shore Drive. <br /> The vacant lot currently known as "4760 North Shore Drive" would be <br /> assigned a permanent address once the house was constructed and permanent <br /> access location decided. <br /> In addition, because this driveway serves more than 3 residences, it <br /> is strongly suggested, again for safety purposes, that the addresses and/or <br /> property owner names should be posted on a sign at the driveway entrance to <br /> Tonkaview Lane.
