We have determined that a new, separate building permit application is required for the <br /> walls as they are now proposed. Additionally, in most cases extensive changes to the grading or improvements would be <br /> required to be added to the survey by the registered land surveyor prior to issuance of a permit. In this case however, <br /> our engineer indicated he is comfortable accepting the hand drawn copy as you will be required to submit an as-built <br /> survey reflecting all improvement and topography changes when the projects are completed prior to release of escrow. <br /> Attached is a copy of the building permit application necessary for the proposed retaining walls over 4 feet in height; <br /> please submit the completed application at your convenience. The building permit application fee is based on the <br /> estimated construction value. Although you stated you are constructing the walls the fee must include both material and <br /> labor costs to be fair with all residents.
