MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING — _NOVEMBER 25, 1991 <br />SPATES AVENUE TRAFFIC CONCERNS — CONT. <br />Crear agreed that other roads in the area are overloaded. He <br />noted a road that the City closed near Minnetonka Beach which is <br />similar to this situation. He stated that after the sewer was <br />put in, the road was repaved at a wider and straighter width. <br />Jabbour felt there should be a public hearing. He asked if <br />Gerhardson had considered speed bumps and felt they are very <br />effective. <br />Gerhardson noted the public hearing could be scheduled for the <br />last meeting in January. <br />Butler suggested that it be held at the first meeting in January. <br />It was moved by Mayor Peterson, seconded by Jabbour, to schedule <br />a public hearing regarding the Spates Avenue traffic concerns, as <br />soon as possible. Ayes 3, nays 1. Butler voted nay. <br />( * #12) STUBBS BAY SEWER STUDY AREA ` <br />ORDER PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS — RESOLUTION #3047 <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to adopt <br />Resolution #3047, ordering plans and specifications and accept <br />bids for the Stubbs Bay Sewer Study Area to be prepared by the <br />City Engineer. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( * #13) PROPOSED 1992 FEE SCHEDULE — <br />ORDINANCE #99, SECOND SERIES <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, <br />Ordinance #99, Second Series, adopting the 1992 fee <br />Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( * #14) VOLUNTEER COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS <br />to adopt <br />schedule. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to accept the <br />information regarding volunteer commission appointments. Ayes 4, <br />nays 0. <br />( * #15) LEASE — PURCHASE — RESOLUTION #3048 <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to adopt <br />Resolution ##3048, approving the lease — purchase agreement for the <br />new City facilities.
