ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD JULY 22, 1991 <br />( #23 *)AUTHORITY TO HIRE PART -TIME POLICE CLERK- <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded. by Mayor Peterson, to <br />approve the employment of Janice M. Keenen as a part -time police <br />clerk effective July 23, 1991, at a rate of $6.839.per hour. All <br />voted aye. Motion passed.. <br />( #24 *)SEVERANCE PAY -CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />approve ,a 4% salary increase from $57,755 to $60,065, for City <br />Administrator, Mark Bernhardson, effective May 1, 1991, and to <br />approve payment of two weeks severance pay and all unused <br />vacation in the total amount of $3,656.36, and that such payment <br />be. adjusted as required after audit of the .final .balances.and <br />implementation of the new salary rate. All voted aye. Motion <br />passed. <br />( #25 *)1991 AUDIT <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson., to <br />appoint the audit firm of Malloy Karnowski_ & Co. to perform the <br />required audits for the 1991 fiscal year at an estimated cost of_, <br />$14,800,'plus direct expenses. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />( #26 *)PiUNICIPAL BOARD PROCESS <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson., to <br />accept the information provided by Piark Bernhardson in his July <br />17, 1991 memo. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />( #27 *)PERSONNEL POLICY /ORDINANCE AMENDMENT- PERSONAL HOLIDAY <br />RESOLUTION #2996 <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />adopt Resolution #2996, adopting amendments to the Administrative <br />and Personnel Policy Section 307. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />(28 *)ADMINISTRATOR'S INFORMATION <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by P4ayor Peterson, to <br />accept the City Administrator's Information regarding: Spates <br />Avenue, and Proposed Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site. <br />All voted aye.
