Motion
passed.
( #8)ZONING FILE #1633 - ANDREW MCDERMOTT
2702 WALTERS PORT LANE
VARIANCE- RESOLUTION #2963
Andrew McDermott was present.
Bernhardson re6viewed the issues involved w_th Mme.
McDermott's Variance request, as outlined in Jeanne Mabusth's
April 11), 1991 memo. He noted that the Planning Commission
recommended approval of this application.
Goetten stated triat hardcover iz the 75 -250 foot setback
area exceeds what is allowed. She indicated that she would like
to see the 5.57% of landscaping plastic removed in light of the
McDermott's request °to add hardcover to the property.
Callahan stated that excess hardcover, in the form of
landscape areas with underlying plastic, is not allowed and is to
be automatically removed.
Goetten agreed with Callahan, and noted that the -Planning
Commission had not included removal of the landscaping plastic in
their recommendation for this application.
McDermott stated that his improvement plans do not include
any improvements within the 75 -250 f1D0t setback area.
Goetten indicated to Mr. McDermott, that in her opinion, a
request to remove 5% e;ccess hardcover -from the 75 -250 f-Dot
setback area was not asking too much, and would bring the
hardcover percent closer to the 25% allowed for that area.
Jabbour concurred with Goetten.
=t was moved b%T Goetten, seconded by Jabbour, to adopt
Resolution- #2963, as amended, • to include language - requiring -the.
applicant to remove 5.57% hardcover from the 75 -250 foot setback
area.
