ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD APRIL 22, 1991 <br />(#21)PUBLIC SAFETY SERVICE DISCUSSIONS CONTINUED <br />pertaining to Police and Fire services. Council took no formal <br />action. <br />( #22 *)1991 SEWER AND WATER RATE STUDY <br />At the request of Mayor Peterson. Council agreed to add this <br />item to the Consent Agenda. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor P.-:terson, to table <br />further consideration of water and sewer rates until Council's <br />May 13, 1991 meeting. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />( #23)STRATEGIC PLANNING <br />Mayor Peterson asked if the Planning Commission had reviewed <br />the 1991 Strategicc, Plan. <br />Mabusth advised that Planning Commission members had <br />reviewed the 1991 Strategic, Plan and had nothing further to <br />offer, other than the recommendation to proceed with the Plan as <br />shown. <br />It was moved b% Jabbour, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />adopt the 1991 Strategic Planning document :o serve as a guide <br />for Council and Staff during the balance of.1991. All voted aye. <br />Motion passed. <br />( #23A *)1991 SOLID WASTE AGREEMENT - HENNEPIN COUNTY <br />At Mayor Peterson's request, Council agreed to add this item <br />to the Consent Agenda. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded b1• Mayor Peterson, to <br />approve the attached Solid Waste Agreement wit<<'Hennepin County <br />for 1991. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />( #24 *)WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS REMOVAL 1991 <br />It was moved bv Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />authorize the Public Works Department to remove weight <br />restrictions on °City street's effective M:iy 1, 1991. All voted <br />aye. Motion passed. <br />( #25 *)COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER APPOINTMENT <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayo• Peterson, to <br />appoint David Nelson as— the primary part -time regular CSO <br />effective April 15, 1991 a a wage raise adjustment from $5.304 <br />per hour to $6.249 per hour; and that FICA and PERA contributions <br />be withheld effective April 15, 1991, All voted aye.
