S <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD APRIL 22, 1991 <br />ROLL CALL: <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, Councilmembers J. Diann <br />Goetten, Edward Callahan, Gabriel Jabbour and Mary Butler. The <br />following represented the City Staff: City Administrator Mark <br />Bernhardson, Building and Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, <br />Public Works Director John Gerhardson, Assistant Planning and <br />Zoning Administrator Michael Gaffron, City Attorney Thomas <br />Barrett, City Engineer Glenn Cook, and City Recorder Laurie <br />Scheffler. Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br />( #1 *)CONSENT AGENDA <br />Goetten requested that item #34 be removed from the Consent <br />Agenda for discussion. <br />Mayor Peterson asked that items #10, #14, #22, and #23A bd <br />added to the Consent Agenda. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />approve the Consent Agenda, with the exception of item #34, which <br />was removed and discussed in the sequence. shown on the Agenda, <br />and the addition of items #10, #14, #22 and #23A. All voted aye. <br />Motion passed. <br />( #2 *)APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />approve the Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held April 8, <br />1991..:All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />John Farnham, 3225 Carman Road, distributed a copy of <br />information put together by Orono residents pertaining to another <br />city facility site option they would like Council to consider. <br />Curt- Quady stated that the information provided by Mr. <br />Farnham should be helpful to the Citizens City Facility <br />Committee, and that in his opinion, the Committee was not given <br />enough information when they last reviewed this issue. <br />Mayor Peterson recognized Mr. Rettinger, with the Long Lake <br />Fire Department. <br />Mr. Rettinger introduced Shannon Formisano and Dan Tibbetts <br />of the Long Lake Fire Department, stating that both are involved <br />in teaching a CPR class. <br />Ms. Formisano explained that the Long Lake Fire Department <br />began the CPR program is January, 1991. The class is offered <br />free of charge for all residents living within the Long Lake Fire <br />Department District. Ms. Formisano asked if the City Council <br />- 1 - <br />
