MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 10, 1992 <br />FEASIBILITY STUDY WILLOW DRIVE - CONT. <br />Goetten stated she thought that was a part of the improvement <br />scheduled for 1993. <br />Gerhardson noted that i s on I y for the s i gna I I i ght at W i I I ow Dr i ve. <br />He noted they are working with MnDot to coordinate both the upgrade <br />to Willow Drive and the installation of the signal light. <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to adopt <br />Resolution #3082 directing the City Engineer to prepare a <br />feasibility study for the upgrade of.Willow Drive from Highway 12 <br />to County Road 6. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #14) BID AWARD - WATER TOWER f <br />Moorse explained this is a tabulation of bids received for the <br />installation of a hydropillar designed water tower. <br />Jabbour asked how the bid could be approximately one - quarter of a <br />million over estimate. <br />Cook explained that the price depends Ion how busy they are. He <br />stated that they have worked with this company before and did not <br />have any problems with them. <br />It,was moved by Mayor Peterson, seconded by Goetten, to award the <br />elevated water storage tank project to Pittsburgh -Des Moines, Inc. <br />for an amount not to exceed $595,150.00. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #15) STREET LIGHTING - FRONTAGE ROAD - NEW CITY FACILITY <br />Moorse asked if the Council would like to install ornamental street <br />lights along the frontage road for the new City facilities. <br />It was moved by Mayor Peterson, seconded by Goetten, to direct <br />staff to accept bids on street lighting for the frontage road to <br />the new City facilities. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( * #16) POLICE CHIEF PAY ADJUSTMENT <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded,by Goetten, to adjust the Police <br />Chief Sullivan's salary by 3% effective on his` sixth month <br />anniversary date. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />12 <br />
