MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 10, 1992 <br />1 <br />MARINA LICENSE APPLICATION UPDATE — CONT. <br />Jabbour noted that no one on the Council 1s advocating that the <br />marinas be replaced with boat launches. He stated that the Council <br />requires residents to uphold the ordinances and felt they should <br />do the same with marina owners. He noted that if the Council is <br />going to allow marinas to have excessive density on their property, <br />it should be acknowledged and monitored, and conditions of such <br />should be incorporated within the license. , <br />Callahan noted that the Lake Use Committee was established to <br />review this situation and decide whether to make changes or enforce <br />the current code: <br />Hurr stated that Gay Ie's Marina was required to replace trees many <br />years ago, and they have never completed with such requirement. <br />She f I t the C i ty shou I d force the mar i nas to f I I ow the ord i nances <br />the same as they do the residents. <br />Jabbour suggested that licenses approved in the past should be <br />reviewed by staff for conditions set for each marina, and, the <br />Committee should establish whether those conditions are <br />reasonable. <br />Mayor Peterson established the next Lake Use Committee meeting for <br />Thursday, February 27, 1992 at 7:45 a.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />( * #12) JOINT USE DOCK LICENSES - RESOLUTIONS #3074, 3075, 3076, <br />3077, 3078, 3079, 3080 & 3081 <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded <br />following resolution approving a 1992 <br />Foxhill Homeowners' Association <br />Minnetonka Power Squadron <br />Walter's Port <br />Sandy Beach <br />Victoria Estates <br />Rhode /Enlow /Lindahl <br />Forest Arms <br />Navarre Cove <br />Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />MAYOR /COUNCIL REPORT <br />by Goetten, to adopt the <br />Joint Use Dock License: <br />Resolution # <br />3074 <br />3075 <br />3076 <br />3077 <br />3078 <br />3079 <br />3080 <br />3081 <br />A. Mayor Peterson noted that Sara Moos has. Indicated she no longer <br />wishes to serve on the Planning Commission or the Facility Design <br />Committee. <br />10 <br />
