r. <br />• <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD MAY 24, 1993 <br />MAYOR /COUNCIL REPORT - CONT. <br />C) Goetten reported the City of Long Lake has appointed two <br />residents to approach MnDot regarding the light situation at Willow <br />Drive. Long Lake has suggested Orono and Medina join with them. <br />D) Jabbour expressed concern by residents that Orono has ceased to <br />be involved with the Lake Access Task Force. He said he explained <br />to these people that Orono was unhappy with the chair of the <br />committee, and Jabbour felt the committee is winding down. He <br />stated he wants the archives to reflect that only 2 or 3 members <br />of the committee have been attending the meetings of the Task <br />Force. Orono was only involved in establishing the criteria and <br />counts. He expressed his frustration with the process to the LMCD. <br />Mayor Callahan noted that was always the major danger of the <br />report. He stated the press reported the names of many members of <br />the Task Force, many of which did not know they were even on the <br />Committee. <br />• E) Hurr volunteered to serve on an ad -hoc committee to review the <br />County Road 15 improvements. <br />Goetten volunteered also. <br />F) Mayor Callahan expressed pleasure with the addition of a Police <br />Department report on the agenda. <br />Sullivan reported Reo Raj Kennels will be going out of business as <br />of June 30th, but the City may have an opportunity to use Wright <br />County Humane Society. He said he would keep them posted. <br />POLICE CHIEF REPORT <br />( * #12) MONTHLY REPORT <br />It was moved by Hurr, seconded by Jabbour, to accept the monthly <br />activity summary report. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />( * #13) NORTH TONKA CRIME PREVENTION COALITION <br />It was moved by Hurr, seconded by Jabbour, to accept the <br />information regarding the North Tonka Crime Prevention Coalition. <br />Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />• ( * #14) NORTH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL DONATION <br />It was moved by Hurr, seconded by Jabbour, to accept the <br />information regarding the North Memorial Medical Center Donation. <br />Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />21 <br />
