• MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD MARCH 22, 1993 <br />INTERVIEWS - CONT. <br />Janice Berg, 2655 Lvdiard Avenue, stated she has lived In Orono 14 <br />years. She explained in the past she has worked with the City of <br />Richfield in their planning department. She indicated she has read <br />the Comprehensive Plan and is aware of the City's philosophy. <br />Mayor Callahan asked if she has attended any recent meetings of the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Berg stated she has not. <br />Kelley asked her number one concern. <br />Berg stated that would be growth of the City, and the Highway 12 <br />issue. She said she would like to see the character of Orono <br />maintained. <br />Jabbour questioned her philosophy on development of the northern <br />portion of the City since she lives in a dense area. <br />• Berg noted she likes the larger parcels and feels they need to be <br />addressed at their own level. <br />Mayor Callahan asked how she became interested in the vacancy. <br />Berg stated people had suggested she apply, but noted the decision <br />was her own. She stated she now has the time available. She pointed <br />out her involvement with the Builders Association and Interfaith <br />Outreach. <br />Mayor Callahan thanked her for her interest and explained the time <br />frame for appointment. <br />( * #5) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Callahan, to approve the <br />minutes of the regular meeting of the Council held on March 8, <br />1993.
