Before we can advise you on <br /> permitting requirements to make any changes to the property or structures on the property you must provide the <br /> following information: <br /> 1. Wetland Delineation & MCWD approval of the delineation. <br /> 2. Floodplain hydrology study to determine the normal high water level and the 100-year flood elevation of the <br /> adjacent wetland. Here is a link to the FEMA website. They list a number of engineering companies who can <br /> perform such a service: Flood Zone Determination Companies. I'm sure there are other local companies who <br /> can also do so. You may need to do some calling around to find out. <br /> 3. Survey the property &show: wetland delineation line; normal high water level and 100-year flood level of the <br /> wetland (once determined); topography of the property in 1-foot contours; property boundaries; structures; other <br /> improvements, etc (see the attached survey requirement list). <br /> The above is the same information that I provided to the property owner. The staff person at the Minnehaha Creek <br /> Watershed District (MCWD) that I'd have you start with first is Courtney Hall. Courtney's number is (952) 473-2855.
