MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD MARCH 14, 1994 • <br />( #15) CDBG FUNDING FOR 1994 - RESOLUTION NO. 3404 <br />As previously noted it was moved by Hun, seconded by Kelley, to allocate funds for the 1994 <br />Community Development Block Grant Program as follows: $1,500 each to We Can, Westonka <br />Intervention and Interfaith Outreach; $2700 for park planning; $15,800 to assist qualified <br />residents for sewer connections in the Stubbs Bay area. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />(* #16) GOLF COURSE LIQUOR LIABILITY - INSURANCE AWARD <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Callahan, to award the Orono Golf Course liquor liability <br />insurance coverage for the period April 1, 1994 to March 31, 1995 to the St. Paul Insurance <br />Company at a premium of $1,438.00. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />( #17) LEASE AGREEMENT WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR BALL FIELDS <br />Moorse explained there are two agreements - one lease between the City and the School District <br />and the other a sublease between the City and OBA. Minor revisions have yet to be made and <br />we ask for Council's input before putting it into final form. <br />Mayor Callahan asked what determined the length of time for the lease. • <br />Moorse responded OBA wanted the 20 year time period. Because of the investment, it seems <br />to be a reasonable time period. <br />Mayor Callahan asked how a decision was reached regarding how much of an investment was <br />to be made. <br />Moorse clarified that the City is not making an investment. <br />Mayor Callahan stated it was his understanding from the lease that the City would construct a <br />facility. <br />Moorse said under the terms of the lease a provision was made for a facility to be constructed. <br />Mayor Callahan asked the City Attorney for clarification. <br />Staunton replied he did not know. <br />Moorse interjected the lease states the tenant will construct it. <br />14 is <br />
