.0- , r <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 14, 1994 <br />• ( #17) WATER TOWER ANTENNA REQUEST (CONTINUED) <br />having an antenna on the water tower. <br />Jabbour moved, Goetten seconded, to direct staff to pursue allowing an antenna <br />on the water tower to the highest bidder, as long as it was not intrusive or over <br />ten feet in height. Ayes 4, nays 1. Kelley noted he was not in favor of having any <br />antennas on the water tower. <br />( #18) ESTABLISH PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR YEAR XIX COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING <br />Hurr moved, Goetten seconded, to establish a Public Hearing for allocation of <br />1994 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for 7:30 p.m. on March <br />14, 1994, and to approve the public hearing notice as drafted by staff. Ayes 5, <br />nays 0. <br />( #19) REQUEST FOR FUNDING FOR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION <br />TRAINING <br />Moorse reviewed the request and noted that he had met with a training <br />• consultant to discuss the work shop, and would like to proceed with planning for <br />the work shop at a cost not to exceed $950.00. <br />• <br />Hurr inquired if any other agencies had been considered which may not be as <br />expensive, and Moorse responded that he would look at another bid this week. <br />Hurr commented she would like to see background and training information on <br />the agencies providing this training to ensure they are capable. Mayor Callahan <br />agreed, and requested staff to provide Council with this information. <br />( #20) AUTHORIZATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR ENGINEERING <br />CONSULTING RELATED TO HIGHWAY 12 <br />Jabbour moved, Goetten seconded, to authorize additional funding for engineering <br />consulting services by SRF in an amount not to exceed $3,000.00 to be funded <br />through the contingency account. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />( #21) PARK COMMISSION REAPPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor Callahan moved, Hurr seconded, to appoint Dick Flint, Sherokee Ilse and <br />Susan Wilson to additional terms on the Park Commission beginning 1/1/94 and <br />expiring on 12/31/96. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />9 <br />
