ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR MAY 89 1995 <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members present: Mayor Edward <br />Callahan, Jr., Council Members Gabriel Jabbour, Charles Kelley, and JoEllen Hurr. <br />Council Member Goetten was absent. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron <br />Moorse, City Attorney Tom Barrett, Building and Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, <br />Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Michael Gaffron, Public Works Director <br />John Gerhardson, City Engineer Glenn Cook, and Recorder Sherry Frost. Mayor <br />Callahan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />( * #1) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Items #5 and 6 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Hurr moved, Jabbour seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br />( #2) OLD BEACH ROAD CLOSURE - RESOLUTION #3554 <br />Callahan moved, Kelley seconded, to approve the adoption of Resolution #3554 closing <br />Old Beach Road to through traffic through the installation of a cul -de -sac at the County <br />19 end of Old Beach Road. Ayes 3, Nays 0, Abstain 1, Hurr. <br />• <br />Jabbour commented that his original position of the road reverting to the City's unique <br />private/public road was inconsistent with the Urban Transportation Section of the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan, which stated the roads in the urban section of the City will be <br />owned and maintained by the City, and, thereby, retracted his original position. Jabbour <br />hoped the residents would continue this effort with the City of Minnetonka Beach. <br />is <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />( * #3) REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 24,1995 <br />Hurr moved, Jabbour seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting <br />of April 24, 1995. Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />( * #4) BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING OF APRIL 26, 1995 <br />Hurr moved, Jabbour seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Board of Review Meeting <br />of April 26, 1995.
