Sze asked Cook when the capacity <br />calculations were done. <br />Cook replied, "The information was gathered over the last <br />two years. We determined that the station was used approximately <br />1.23 hours per day in 1989 and 1.12 hours per day in 1988." <br />Goetten said, "It is my understanding that the capacity of <br />that lift station was not adequate and it was necessary to put an <br />additional lift station on Ferndale Road. I am concerned about <br />whether this lift station will have adequate capacity to handle <br />the Country Club. I would like to know what other options exist <br />and what the cost of those options are. I also know that certain <br />charges apply fr.am the time the sewer line is put in to when a <br />property may hook up at a later date. I would like to know if <br />those charges apply in this case." <br />Bernhardson believed that the original charge per unit in <br />this area was $8,600. <br />Goetten stated that she too would like more time to consider <br />this issue. <br />Peterson asked if a cost estimate has been determined for <br />installing a sewer line from the Cluj':) House to the lift station. <br />Mr. Albrecht replied, "It will cost approximately $250,000." • <br />It was moved by Acting Mayor Callahan, seconded bar Goetten, <br />to table this matter until January 28, 1991. Motion, Ayes -3, <br />Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />COUNCILMEMBER SELECTION PROCESS <br />In response to Council's request, Bernhardson presented a <br />draft letter and information regarding the selection process (see <br />Mark Bernhardson's letter dated November 19, 1990). <br />Acting Mayor Callahan stated that he was hopeful that an <br />appointment would be made a` the second Council meeting in <br />January. <br />Peterson stated that she would prefer to have the letter <br />approved at the December Ath Council meeting. <br />Goetten asked if revisions to the letter would be discussed <br />at the December 10th meeting or if revisions should be provided <br />to the City Administrator prior to the meeting. <br />Peterson stated that she had no preference. <br />Acting Mayor Callahan suggested providing Bernhardson with <br />is <br />- 6 - <br />
