ORONO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD JUNE 25, 1990 <br />HIGHWAY 12 SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS CONTINUED <br />• Councilmember Goetten indicated that she agreed with <br />Bernhardson's recommendation for approving the plan only if the <br />traffic signal is included. <br />Bernhardson noted that the traffic analysis has not been <br />finalized by MNDot. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2822, indicating City approval <br />contingent upon a traffic' light being placed on Willow in <br />conjunction with this project. Motion, Ayes -5, <br />Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />REQUEST FOR FUNDING -ART CENTER <br />Bernhardson informed Council that the Art Center has asked <br />the City for funding. He said the City is being asked for <br />$8,000.00 this year and $16,000.00 next year. Bernhardson noted <br />that the Art Center has also asked the City of Wayzata for <br />funding. Bernhardson believed it would be appropriate to delay a <br />40 - 9 - <br />
