• <br />MINUTES OF ORONO COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 26, 1990 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />METROPOLITAN SYSTEM STATEMENT <br />This was an informational item and there was no motion. <br />BID AWARDS EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to accept the bids for equipment and <br />materials for 1990 as presented. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0, Motion <br />passed. <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT- OFFICER BRUCE ANDERSON* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to approve the step increase for Officer <br />Bruce Anderson from $17.052 /hour to $17.376 (1989 contract) <br />effective March 1, 1990. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0, Motion passed. <br />JOINT COUNCIL /PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />City Administrator Bernhardson indicated that not all <br />Councilmembers would be present for the meeting as scheduled and <br />suggested rescheduling the meeting. Bernhardson said that he <br />would try to find a day that would be acceptable to all <br />Councilmembers. <br />• C.D.B.G. YEAR XVI PUBLIC HEARING* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to set a public hearing on March 26, 1990, <br />7:00 p.m. to receive citizen input for allocating Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for Year XVI. Motion, Ayes -4, <br />Nays -0, Motion passed. <br />TELEPHONE SYSTEM INSTALLATION* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to accept the information regarding the <br />telephone system installation. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0, Motion <br />passed. <br />EMPLOYMENT -PART TIME OFFICER* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to authorize the employment of Derek <br />Palkki as a part time police officer at $9.285 effective as of <br />March 1, 1990 dependent on his successful passing of the <br />appropriate tests. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0, Motion passed. <br />1950 SHORELINE DRIVE AGREEMENT* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to approve the agreement between the City <br />and the property owner of 1950 Shoreline Drive. Motion, Ayes -4, <br />Nays -0, Motion passed. <br />• EMPLOYMENT -PART TIME C.S.O.* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to authorize the employment of David <br />Dennis Nelson as the "back up" CSO at a rate of $5.10 per hour <br />effective March 1, 1990.
