Wetland Delineation Report
Spring Hill Golf Club Site
GES Project No. 2011.036
December 5, 2011
Page 3of3
The upland at the west transect (Transect 2) is described as planted native
prairie consisting predominantly of switch grass and big bluestem. The upland
slope adjacent to the delineated wetland boundary rises relatively abruptly. The
transition between the wetland and upland at the transect location is
characterized by a relatively abrupt change from FACW and OBL vegetation to
FAC vegetation. Soils also demonstrated a relatively abrupt change from very
black mucky loam to lighter sandy loam and loamy sands.
For more detailed information on each wetland, see data forms in Appendix A.
Jurisdictional boundaries on the wetlands were established where the soil
profiles in the upland soils demonstrated a lighter matrix tone, there was a
change in plant communities, hydrology indicators were absent in the upland and
a change in topography occurred.
Figure 4 and 5 depict the National Wetlands Inventory map and the Hennepin
County soil survey, respectively. Figure 6 shows the Minnesota DNR Protected
Waters Inventory map of the areas evaluated.
Ground photos of each wetland transect location are included in Figures 7 —9.
The information contained herein represents our findings during wetland
delineation activities conducted on October 24, 2011 at the referenced site.
Respectfully submitted,
Graham Environmental Services, Inc.
e G ra a -
Professional Wetland Scientist No. 365
Minnesota Wetland Delineator Certified No. 1179
Enclosures
