1 <br /> Buffer Vegetation Management Plan <br /> Spring Hill Golf Club <br /> Orono, Minnesota <br /> The goal for the Buffer Vegetation Management Plan is to establish three areas <br /> of native buffer along the edges of the fill areas on the 13th hole. The site <br /> preparation, invasive species control methods and monitoring/reporting <br /> requirements are outlined below. <br /> Wetland Buffer Planting Plan <br /> i <br /> I. Site Preparation <br /> A. Site Preparation shall consist of the following: <br /> L Preparation of the seedbed in a manner that prepares <br /> the project site for seed. After final grading has been <br /> ' completed, the site will be cultivated with a light disking <br /> and dragging so that the surface is relatively level, flat <br /> and not overly compacted. <br /> ii. Install seed according to specifications after seedbed is <br /> prepared. <br /> II. Seed Specifications <br /> A. Use native seed: fresh, clean, dry new-crop seed complying with <br /> the Association of Official Seed Analysts' "Rules for Testing Seeds" <br /> for purity and germination tolerances. <br /> B. Seed mixes shall be blended by the Contractor using the specified <br /> species and ratios as per BWSR Mix 35-641 in the upland buffer <br /> (seed specs attached). Seed mix species and ratios shall be <br /> guaranteed by the contractor to be true to specifications as <br /> required. The contractor shall supply and plant native seed as pure <br /> ' live seed (PLS). See planting plan for planting schedule. All seed <br /> shall have the proper stratification and/or scarification to break <br /> dormancy for spring planting. No treatment required for seed used <br /> in summer and fall plantings. <br /> C. Seed source shall be from an approved/licensed nursery that will <br /> be required to specify the origin of the seed used at the site. <br /> III. Seeding Protocol (includes Wetland and Upland Buffer Areas) <br /> A. Fall seeding shall occur between mid October and mid November. <br /> ' Spring seeding shall occur between May 1 and June 15. Seed may <br /> be hand-broadcast or planted using a properly calibrated seed drill <br /> over the site at the rates and with the species mix identified. After <br />
