The wetland map says they
h e a Manage 3 wetland in their back yard. But the grading plan for the
su division shows that this "wetland" is a storm water pond, created from high
gr und. There is a pipe running to it from a set of catch basins in Sussex Road.
T ere is a pipe out of it under Leaf Street to a ditch along Bayshore Drive that flows
to tubbs Bay Creek. The pipe in is larger than the pipe going out so I'm thinking it's
a etention pond.
It hows up on the City's Surface Water Management plan as a storm water pond.
T normal water level is .7 feet above the bottom of the pond according to the
gr ding plan. The high water level is 1.4 feet higher than the normal water level. The
bo tom of the pond is seven feet below grade at the edge of the drainage easement.
Th property was subdivided in 1989 or 1990. Is this a wetland that would require a
b fer?
Ev lyn Turner
95 -249-4623
95 -249-4616 (fax)
4/2 /2007
