Box 6b <br /> Crystal Bay,MN 55323 <br /> Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, <br /> We would like to submit to the City of Orono,a request for a waiver for our driveway <br /> encroachment into the side setback of our lot at 2102 Sugar Woods Drive. We are <br /> seeki.ng permission to allow construction of a side load garage tha.t will cause the <br /> dtiveway to exceed by 18 feet,the setback specifieations on the south side of the lot. The <br /> resulti.ng driveway will be 12 feet from the property line. We are in compliance with all <br /> other setback specifications, including the restriction which mandates that the driveway <br /> be no more than 20 feet wide as it passes through the front setback area. <br /> Our pie-sha.ped lot has a relatively narrow area along the street. Movement of the house <br /> in any direction will cause the loss of 2 very large trees that we would certainly prefer to <br /> save. 'Phe current placement of the driveway is such that no large trees will be lost. <br /> We understand that numerous variances have been granted in Sugar Woods to permit side <br /> load garages. We also ask that you take into consideration the accompanying letters from <br /> the neighboring property owner and the President of the Sugar Woods Homeowners <br /> Association.
