The condition of the drain field is OK and is quite <br /> usable. <br /> I am in contact with a septic company that will reconnect the tank and the drain field. I expect <br /> that will be done within the next four weeks. <br /> This will solve the surface drainage you were concerned about and my system will conform as <br /> well as most of the drain filed systems in Orono and better than some. <br /> Also, as far as I can ascertain, I am not causing any ecological problem or environmental harm. <br /> I have 7 1/2 acres and no run off problem. <br /> Your main concern was that flies could be a problem. We have no fly problem. However, Orono <br /> does allow uses like horse farms, stables, kennels and just pets for that matter that would have <br /> far more potential for fly and health problems. <br /> I don't believe it is fair to single out and harass individuals before you deal with your larger <br /> problems.
