STONEWOOD, LLC CONSERVATION DESIGN ANALYSIS

<br /> Stonewood, LLC is proposing development of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Smith Dettloff Addition (PID:
<br /> 0211723230006), (Project Site) generally located at 387 Orono Orchard Road South in Orono, Hennepin
<br /> County, Minnesota. The proposed development would result in five residential lots (Figure 1) which meet
<br /> the intent and requirements of the City of Orono's Conservation Design ordinance.
<br /> The Ordinance is meant to preserve and enhance the ecological and aesthetic character of the community
<br /> by requiring:
<br /> 1. Protection and enhancement of drainageways and water quality
<br /> 2. Protection and enhancement of ecological communities
<br /> 3. Reinforcement and establishment of ecological connections throughout the city
<br /> 4. Augmentation and preservation of viewsheds including corridor enclosure and buffering
<br /> 5. Preservation of views
<br /> 6. Preservation or reinterpretation of local landmarks
