MiDEPARTMENT OF
LABOR AND INDUSTRY
January 10,2018
Haussner Plumbing LLC
10520 Stonebridge Trail N
Stillwater,MN 55082
Gentlemen/Ladies:
Subject: Plumbing at Wayzata Country Club Snack Building,430 Old Long Lake Road,Orono,Hennepin
County,Minnesota,Plan No.PLB1712-00064
On January 9,2018,our office received revised plans for the above referenced facility. The revised plans indicate
a dump sink will be installed. The plans have been reviewed and were found to conform to the Minnesota
Plumbing Code with the following comments:
1. Not more than one-third of the total permitted length,in accordance with Table 703.2,of a minimum sized
vent shall be installed in the horizontal position(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714,Section 904.2). Verify
that the minimum sized 1-1/2 inch vent serving the dump sink and floor drain does not extend more than 20
feet in the horizontal position.
2. All pot, scullery, food prep, and beverage service sinks must be provided with a floor drain on the
individual drainage branch serving each sink prior to connecting to any other fixture drain. This floor
drain,or tell-tale drain,must not be equipped with a backwater valve(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714,
Section 704.3). The floor drain serving the three-compartment sink must be on the individual branch
serving the three-compartment sink and not on the drainage branch serving the ice machine floor drain and
dump sink.
This letter should be attached to our previous Report on Plans dated December 27,2017. If you have any
questions,please contact me at 651/284-5836.
Sincerely,
gm,/ o
Bradley Williams,P.E.
Public Health Engineer
Plumbing Plan Review and Inspections
Bradley.Williams@state.mn.us
www.dli.mn.gov/CCLD/P1 umbin.asp
cc: City of Orono Building Official
Hennepin-Wayzata EHS
City of Wayzata Building Official
Wayzata Country Club
File
443 Lafayette Road N.,St.Paul,MN 55155 • (651)284-5005 •www.dli.mn.gov
An Equal Opportunity Employer
