Due to seasonally saturated soils,a pressurized <br /> Mound System wi(1 need to be installed to treat septic eftluent. The bottom of the treatment area must be located at <br /> least 3'above the saturated soils. <br /> The soils at a depth of 12"have a percolation rate averaging 10 MPI. <br /> All neighboring wells are located greater than 100'away from proposed Veatment area. <br /> A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the ef�luent to the treatment area. The power supply and Switches <br /> must be located outside the manhole and pumping chamber in a weatherproof enclosure. A warning device must be <br /> installed with light and souttd devices;this is in case of a pump failure.The manifold and supply line must have back <br /> drainage to the pumping chamber. "I'he distribution pipes shall have their ends capped. Be sure the rock and sand fill <br /> materials are clean. The sod layer below the entire mounded area must be tumed over,just break up the sod and be <br /> sure not to over work. <br /> Keep all heaw equipment off'of the proposed treatment areas before,durine and after construction. The area <br /> around both sites must be fenced off bv the contractor before anv construction beeins.This DesiEn is not valid <br /> and t6e Svstem will need to be relocated if failure to protect the areas proaosed for On-Site Sewage Treatment <br /> occurs. <br /> With proper installation and maintenance,this system should have no problem in treating septic eftluent effectively. <br /> Nothing other than gray waCer,(laundry,showers,etc.) Human water and toilet tissue should be disposed of into the <br /> septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recommended. Additives must not be used;they may cause harmful damage to <br /> your septic system.
