CI�'Y of ORONO <br /> `� s `�; �' - �► <br /> �',� � '`� G'�' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ��kESi3��� NO. �i � �. ;�� <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE <br /> BROWN ROAD N./COUNTY ROAD 6 SEWER PROJECT <br /> CONNECTION CHARGE ASS�SSMENT ROLL <br /> WHEREAS,the property owner at 2145 Sixth Ave.Nortlz has signed an assessment <br /> �vaiver,waiving all applicable assessment procedural requireinents,and requestiizg to be assessed for <br /> tl�e coiuiection ch�rge for the Browi� Road N./ County Road 6 Sanitary Sewer E:ctension <br /> im�rovements. <br /> NO�V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Mimiesota: <br /> 1. Such proposed assessnzent, a copy of which is attached hereto and inade a part hereof, is <br /> l�ereby accepted and sliall constitute the special assessinent against the lands named therein, <br /> and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed <br /> iinprovement in the amount of the assessment levied loainst it. <br /> 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal aiulual uistallments e:cteiZding over a period of�5 <br /> years, the first of the installmeizts to be payable on or before the first Monday iii January <br /> 2005 and shall bear interest at the rate of 6.25%per arultun from the date of the adoption of <br /> tliis assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire <br /> assessinent from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2005. To each subsequent <br /> installinent when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br /> assessment to the County Auditor, pay the wliole of the assessment on such property,with <br /> interest acci�.ied to tlie date of payment,to the City Treasurer,e.cce�t tliat no interest shall be <br /> charged if the entire assessment is paid within thirty (30) days frotn the adoption of this <br /> resolution;and he may,at anytime thereafter,pay to the City Treasurer the entire amount of <br /> the assessinent remaining unpaid,with'interest accrued to December 31 of the yeaz in which <br /> such payment is made. Such payment must be made beforeNovember 15 or interest will be <br /> chazged through December 31 of the next succeeding year. Partial prepayment may be <br /> allowed in accordance witli ordinances which are existing or which the City may choose to <br /> adopt in the future. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
