A summary of the <br /> inspection is below. <br /> Septic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout not needed at this time. <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot sepazation distance benveen the bottom <br /> of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a City <br /> � Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br /> s}�stem must be replaced by December 31,ZO10. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet e�plaining how a septic system functions properly.
