Absent photos showing completed
re-vegetation and landscaping around the new sign we will need to hold the escrow until verification by our inspector in
the spring. He will also verify visually the as-constructed compliance of the proposed grading on site. I will let Christine
follow up with Ken but I wanted to let you know where we fell on this.
Later-
Melanie
Melanie Curtis
'952.249.4b27 mcurtis@ci.orono.mn.us
From: Naples Jenson [mailto:mkjenson7@gmail.com]
Sent:Thursday,January 14, 2016 8:32 AM
To:Christine Mattson<CMattson@ci.orono.mn.us>
Cc:lerilyn Lowe<thejlowe@aol.com>; Pastor Brian Fragodt<brianf@trinitylonglake.org>;John Thiesse
(jthiesse@srfconsulting.com)<jthiesse@srfconsulting.com>; Mike Gaffron<MGaffron@ci.orono.mn.us>; Melanie Curtis
<MCurtis@ci.orono.mn.us>; Roger Peitso<rpeitso@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject:Trinity Sign at 2060 Sixth Ave N.
Christine, The old Trinity Sign will be removed next week; we now have frozen surface to work on. John
Thiesse will submit revised As-Built Survey for Trinity after old sign removal. I will be leaving for Florida
tomorrow. I have a long copy list here as I wanted to provide information to all those involved in this initiative
before I head South.
While probably not necessary, I thought I would review the sequence and provide a few photos of new Trinity
Sign prep, landscaping, and installation. We have appreciated the positive comments from members of Trinity
and of our Community. The sequence included..........
• Site survey to confirm proper position for new Sign 10 feet offset from Trinity Property Line.
• Installation of foundation pillars and sign attachment structure.
• Stripping sod and black dirt from peninsula area around new sign position.
• Backfill with clay soil for proper build-up and slope.
• Black dirt topping.
• Mulch topping.
I trust Trinity Escrow Funds of$700 paid with Application for Conditional Use Permit will be refunded after
old sign removal and revision of As-Built Survey previously submitted on December 28. Again, John Thiesse
will be our Trinity focal point.
i
