.� o,�,. <br /> O �� O CITY of ORONO <br /> � � ���;-�"� � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �t �G� No. 6354 <br /> 9kESH�4 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #13-3641. <br /> 2. The Property is located in the RR-1 B Rural Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. A church is an allowed conditional use within the RR-1 B Rural Residential Zoning <br /> District. <br /> 4. Trinity Lutheran Church has existed on the Property since the 1950's and operates <br /> under a CUP issued via Resolution No. 2423 Adopted May 9, 1988. <br /> 5. The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing held on October <br /> 21, 2013 and voted 7 for and 0 against on a motion to approve the conditional use <br /> permit for the columbaria wall as described herein based on the folfowing findings: <br /> a) The proposed columbaria wall complies with all setback requirements. <br /> b) The proposed open gazebo and memoria� wall comply with all setback <br /> requirements. <br /> c) The Applicant has provided a landscape plan which provides the required <br /> screening. <br /> d) The proposed use is consistent with the Community Management Plan; <br /> e) The proposed use is compliant with the zoning code, including any conditions <br /> imposed on specific uses as required by Article V, Divisions 2 and 3 of the City <br /> Code; <br /> fl The Property is able to be adequately served by police, fire, roads, and <br /> stormwater management; <br /> g) The Property is provided with an adequate water supply and sewage disposal <br /> system; <br /> h) The proposed use is not expected to generate excessive demand for public <br /> servicss at public cost; <br /> i) The proposed use is compatible with the surrounding area as used both <br /> presently and as it is planned to be used in the future; <br /> j) The proposed use is consistent with the character of the surrounding area, <br /> unless a change of character is called for in the Community Management Plan; <br /> k) The proposed use is compatible with the character of buildings and site <br /> improvements in the surrounding area, unless a change of character is called for <br /> in the Community Management Plan; <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
