January 27, 2003 <br /> Page 2 <br /> To accomplish the foregoing, we need to obtain a variance from the City's <br /> current septic system ordinance. Variances are contemplated by the ordinance under <br /> part E of Section 12.30, to avoid either"unnecessary" or"unintended" hardship to an <br /> owner. The strict application of the current ordinance to our property would result in <br /> both unnecessary and unintended hardship to us. For all intents and purposes, unless <br /> the variance is granted, the property cannot be developed in any reasonable fashion. <br /> This was not the intended result for a seven acre parcel of land and the construction of <br /> one single family home. <br /> I greatly appreciate your considering our request.
